High-yield PCR polymerases

1. Ex Taq DNA polymerase

Ex Taq polymerase is a combination of Taq polymerase performance and proofreading 3'-5' exonuclease activity. It is suitable for amplification of long templates (up to 20 kb from genomic DNA templates and up to 30 kb from lambda DNA templates).

Main features:

• For hi-fi and high-sensitivity reactions
• < 100 bp to 20 kb for genomic DNA targets
• Less optimization and more reproducible results than Taq polymerase

2. Titanium Taq DNA polymerase

Titanium Taq polymerase is a mixture of specially designed Taq polymerase and hot-start antibodies. This multipurpose polymerase works well with a wide range of samples such as bacterial or plasmid DNA, cDNA, and complex genomic DNA, while preventing nonspecific amplification.

Main features:

• Up to 2kb targets from highly complex templates
• Tolerates a wide range of Mg²⁺ concentrations
• Suitable for multiple PCR
• Requires fewer PCR cycles
• Built-in hot-start antibody

3. Advantage 2: polymerase mixture

Advantage 2 Polymerase Mix is a unique blend of polymerases with 3X higher fidelity than conventional Taq polymerase. This mixture works with DNA templates, including long templates up to 18kb and complex genomic DNA up to 6kb. The Advantage 2 polymerase mixture is suitable for RACE PCR, cDNA amplification, library building and PCR extraction.

4. Ex Premier DNA polymerase

Ex Premier DNA polymerase is combined with specially designed buffers to improve PCR success rates for GC- or AT-rich sequences. It shows high performance with long targets and even raw samples. With its Hi-Fi properties, Ex Premier DNA polymerase is also suitable for cloning.

• High fidelity (3′ to 5′ exonuclease activity)
• Suitable for long amplicons up to 30kb (human genomic DNA)
• Amplifies targets at 30 sec/kb
• Works with raw and heavy samples (GC- or AT-rich, long, complex)

5. EmeraldAmp MAX Products

EmeraldAmp MAX is a solution for high-yield applications where direct loading into gel is required. The mixture contains green paint. The buffer is optimized for better performance with AT- or GC-rich targets. Goals up to 15 kb long can be amplified.

Main features:

• High yield: at least 10 times more final product than conventional PCR
• Use in TA cloning or direct sequencing without purification, long PCR, high yield PCR
• Paint added to the buffer (green dye turns into blue and yellow dye on agarose gel)
• Targets up to 15 kb in length

6. Multiplex PCR Assay Kit Version 2

A test specially designed for simultaneous amplification of more than one PCR product. The enzyme mixture contained in Multiplex PCR Assay Kit Ver.2 is designed for high-speed priming and allows multiplexing of up to 200 primer pairs.

Main features:

• Reduction of mispriming events
• Shorter reaction time compared to conventional multiplex polymerases
• High throughput multiplexing (max. ~200 primer pairs)
