Blotting techniques allow the transfer of proteins and nucleic acids (DNA, RNA) from polyacrylamide or agarose gels onto carrier membranes. On the membrane the proteins and nucleic acids offer open access for detection methods for specific molecules. We offer several solutions for this application.
Fastblot
Fastblot is semidry blotting device designed for transfer of proteins or nucleic acids. It also has an optional water-cooling connection for fast results. Transfer time varies from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Device can be used with various buffers, membranes and blotting papers.
Main features:
- Fast and homogeneous electrophoretic transfer of proteins
- Electrodes: Platinum / titanium
- Plasticized carbon
- Electrode sizes: 16 cm x 20 cm
- Recommended for proteins up to 150 kDa
- Cooling option available
Biometra Tankblot Eco-Line
Designed as a modular system for both blotting and electrophoresis. This versatile system ensures transfer of challenging proteins from up to 4 gels at the same time. Available at two versions: Eco-Mini or Eco-Maxi, which differ in gel sizes and blotting cassettes capacity.
Main features:
- Fast, efficient and reproducible transfer of proteins
- Effective cooling thanks to built-in cooling
- Simultaneous blotting of up to four gels
- Tankblot Eco-Maxi: for gel sizes up to 22 cm x 19 cm
- Tankblot Eco-Mini: up to four PAGE mini-gels (up to 9.5 cm x 8.5 cm)
