Protein Ladders

Takara Bio protein ladder sets are designed to be used with SDS-Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE). These mixtures of 11 recombinant proteins are ready-to-use and do not need any pre-processing such as pre-heating. Sets are provided in two molecular weight ranges from 10–250 kDa (unstained ladder) or 10–210 kDa (pre-stained ladder).

2) WESTERN BLOTTING

TaKaRa CBB Protein Safe Stain

• Highly sensitive Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250-based stain detects as little as 8 ng of protein
• Visualize protein bands in approximately 5 min, with maximum sensitivity after 60 min
• Safe handling—does not contain methanol or acetic acid; destain gels with deionized water
• This product can be used to stain SDS-PAGE or native PAGE gels quickly

Western Blot Buffers

Suppresses non-specific signals is critical to obtaining clear, specific Western blot results. TaKaRa Bio offers several specialized, ready-to-use blocking buffers.

AVAILABLE BUFFERS:

Western BLoT Blocking Buffer (Protein Free)

• completely chemically defined and free of protein components 
• Provides higher sensitivity than other commonly used blocking agents (nonfat milk)
• Excellent for detection of phosphorylated proteins

The Western BLoT Blocking Buffer (Fish Gelatin)

• Blocking reagent of fish origin
• It is less likely to cross-react with mammalian antibodies than conventional blocking reagents, such as nonfat milk or BSA

Western Blot Stripping Buffer

• Efficient antibody removal from Western blot membranes with little loss of bound protein
• Fast, simple protocol (immerse blot in Stripping Buffer and incubate at room temperature for 30 minutes)
