Polyacrylamide and agarose gel electrophoresis systems

Analytik Jena provides instrumentation for both Polyacrylamide Gel (PAGE) and Agarose gel electrophoresis. Suitable Power Supplies are available for all electrophoresis and blot apparatus.

1) Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE)

Biometra Eco-Line

Modular tank system for electrophoresis and blotting. Optional settings include water cooling for better transfer of molecules while blotting and electro-blotting module. Available in two sizes Eco-Mini and Eco-Maxi, which differ in gel size (11.0 x 10.0 cm respectively 21.0 x 20.0 cm). System is suitable for working with nucleic acids and proteins.

For vertical PAGE electrophoresis

Applicable for handcast gels and the most common pre-cast gels
Casting stand for 1 up to 4 gels
Run up to 4 gels with Eco-Mini
Cooling option (integrated water circulation system)

Biometra Minigel-Twin

System designed for PAGE electrophoresis of nucleic acids and proteins using gels of small size. Minigel-Twin requires low buffer volumes and ensures short run times.

Main features:

For vertical PAGE electrophoresis
Compatible with the most common pre-cast gels
For 1 to 2 gels of size 8.6 cm x 7.7 cm

Leak-free sealing system (profiled silicone rubber seal)
Fixed glass spacers

2) Agarose Gel Electrophoresis

Biometra Compact XS/S, M, L/XL

Agarose gel electrophoresis systems are divided by size of gels, which can be casted from 5.7 cm x 8.3 cm up to 23.9 cm x 25.0 cm. Gel trays are UV transparent. Optionally gel casting system can be purchased together with the chambers.

Biometra Multi-Wide

One electrophoresis chamber size can be used with four different gel trays with different run lengths. Compatible pouring system is equally compatible with the four different gel trays. Depending on the size of the gel, up to 6 combs can be placed on the gel tray simultaneously, that a max. sample capacity of 192 samples could be achieved.
