UVP Gel Documentation Systems

The documentation systems for high sensitivity imaging of DNA and protein gels (agarose or acrylamide) using fluorescent and colorimetric dyes. Systems utilize the VisionWorks Software with comprehensive features, including image acquisition optimization and analysis. All units have small footprint to maximize laboratory bench space

1. UVP GelStudio series

The most advanced option for gel documentation. Available in two different sizes (standard and PLUS) and as external computer vs. touch screen-controlled units.

• 12.0 megapixel camera, automated f/1.2 zoom lens
• Base lighting: Thin-Line UV Transilluminator (302 nm) with High/Low intensity control
• Overhead white, red, green and blue LEDs included
• Five-position automated, filter tray for easy access (EtBr filter included)

2. UVP Gel Compact

Cell phone-driven gel documentation system with maximum sample area of 16.8 x 21 cm

• Choice of UV Transilluminator (302 nm) or Visi-Blue™ transilluminator
• Overhead white and blue LED light

• Four-position automated filter tray
• Broad band EtBr or Amber filter included
• Full acquisition control through VisionWorks mobile App (Bluetooth)
• Optional Visi-White / Visi-Blue converter plate, range of emission filters 

3. UVP Solo Elite

Benchtop, stand-alone, automated imager with 11.6” touch-screen for gel documentation.

• Monochrome or color 6.3 MPx camera with automated lens
• UVP Elite UV transilluminator, (illuminated area 16.8 x 21 cm)
• Overhead white and blue LED
• Three-position automated filter tray, EtBr filter included
• Wide front door with UV safety switch

4. UVP GelSolo

Easy-to-use, stand-alone system with 11.6” touch screen, designed to acquire gel images easily without any need for training.

• 5.0 MP camera with manual zoom lens  (f/1.2)
• Range of transilluminators ‒ single, dual or triple UV wavelengths / blue light models available
• Overhead white and blue LED lights
• Easy access data storage for saving images on the USB drive, to the system or network computer
